Cornelius Ohonsi is a Senior Program Specialist in the Special Projects Unit at the Policy Innovation Centre (PIC), where he leads high-impact initiatives that drive policy innovation, health equity, and digital transformation. His work focuses on developing and implementing data-driven public health strategies, multi-sectoral stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based policymaking to address complex societal challenges.
With over a decade of experience in Infectious Disease Epidemiology, public health interventions, and digital policy, Cornelius has led national and sub-national health initiatives, working with government agencies, private sector partners, civil society, and marginalized communities. His expertise in COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness research, health systems strengthening, and AI-driven digital public infrastructure (DPI) development has influenced policy decisions and improved healthcare access across Africa.
Cornelius holds a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in Epidemiology and specialized training in health policy, data analytics, and digital transformation. He is passionate about leveraging technology, strategic planning, and capacity-building to create inclusive and sustainable health solutions.
