Dooshima Donald is a dedicated Finance Assistant at the Policy Innovation Centre. In this role, she ensures accuracy in financial operations, internal controls, and compliance with organizational policies. Her key responsibilities include preparing and posting payment vouchers, managing cash flow, monitoring advances, supporting procurement, and providing logistics for staff and organizational activities. She also maintains inventory records, oversees bank balances, and ensures compliance with PIC and donor financial policies.
Prior to her current role, Dooshima served as a Finance Intern at Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA), a USAID-funded NGO. Her responsibilities included supporting financial compliance, budget preparation, bank reconciliations, and accurate transaction documentation.
During her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) tenure with the Ministry of Health, Dooshima managed inquiries, maintained financial records, assisted with audits, and monitored financial transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
Currently, Dooshima is pursuing her professional certification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) to further enhance her expertise in finance and accounting.
