Laoye Jaiyeola is a distinguished Nigerian economist and visionary leader with over 35 years of experience in the banking industry and extensive expertise in board leadership.
Currently, he serves as a policy expert at the Policy Centre for the New South in Morocco, focusing on macroeconomic regulations across Africa. He contributed to the setup of the policy think tank namely the Policy Innovation Centre, an initiative of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), which was funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Mr. Jaiyeola's career is marked by numerous leadership milestones. He is the former CEO of the NESG, past President and Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), and a member of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) Monetary Policy Committee from 2010 to 2012.
A highly regarded financial expert, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Scotland, and a Fellow of the Senior Executive Program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
