Opeyemi is a young Fiscal Economist, who is a Behavioural Assistant at the Behavioral Innovation Laboratory of the Policy Innovation Centre, NESG. In this role, Opeyemi curates research content and case studies analysis on behavioural insights applied to social programs and policies. He supports experimentation and qualitative research, engaging research assistants and facilitating training and data collection activities.
Over the years, Opeyemi extended his experience as finance advisor to Octave Incorporation and TADs Foundation contributing to tax planning strategies, compliance with payroll regulations and business development. Before joining the Policy Innovation Center, he worked as a Research Assistant & Analyst for the Nigeria Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy & Tax Reforms, where he contributed to the National development of Nigeria's tax reforms.
As an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Opeyemi leadership prowess as a Pioneer National Vice President of the Association of Nigerian Taxation Students (ANTAS) and Executive President of The Tax Club at Ahmadu Bello University. He has organized educational initiatives, led student services, written a series of articles and papers on tax advocacy and represented his associations at national conferences and workshops.
Opeyemi’s technical skills in data analysis, qualitative and quantitative research, underscore his analytical capabilities. He was awarded best tutor for his explicit techniques of teaching during his undergraduate studies and for his restless effort to reduce mass failure through his simplified study pack titled “Opportune Analysis.” He has co-authored research on government expenditure on health in Nigeria reflects his commitment to contributing to academic and policy discourse.
