As Senior Strategic Communications Officer at the Policy Innovation Centre (PIC), Amarachi Owunna aka Amarii develops communication strategies and creative campaigns that turn research, policy, and innovation into stories that influence public conversation and inspire action. She believes that the strongest ideas don’t just deserve to be heard; they deserve to be felt.
Her work has shaped communications for some of PIC’s flagship initiatives, including the Gender & Inclusion Summit, the National Plastic Summit, the Purple Book, and Purple Diaries. Beyond PIC, she has contributed to national conversations on civic participation and youth engagement, speaking with the National Democratic Institute on the role of storytelling in strengthening civic participation and appearing on AIT to discuss how creativity can encourage greater youth participation in governance.
Whether she’s developing a communications strategy, directing a documentary, writing a script, or producing multimedia content, Amarii approaches every project with the same question: How do we make this impossible to forget? Her work sits at the intersection of strategy and creativity, where evidence becomes stories, and communication helps shape culture.
