Dooshima Donald is a Finance Officer at the Policy Innovation Centre (PIC) with experience in financial management, accounting, compliance, and operational support within the non-profit sector. In her current role, she ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records while maintaining compliance with organizational, donor, and regulatory requirements. Her responsibilities include managing financial transactions in SAGE, maintaining accounting records, supporting cash flow and petty cash management, processing payroll, preparing financial reports, conducting bank reconciliations, verifying vendor invoices, supporting audit processes, ensuring statutory compliance through the preparation and remittance of tax and other regulatory obligations, and upholding internal financial controls. She also coordinates finance-related administrative activities, supports procurement and vendor engagements, and provides day-to-day guidance to the Finance Assistant and Finance Intern.
Before joining PIC, Dooshima served as a Finance Intern at Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA), a USAID-funded organization, where she supported financial reporting, bank reconciliations, financial compliance, and the documentation of accounting transactions. During her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with the Ministry of Health, she gained valuable public sector experience by managing financial records, responding to financial inquiries, supporting audit activities, and monitoring financial transactions to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards.
Committed to continuous professional development, Dooshima is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) alongside the professional qualification of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Through these academic and professional pursuits, she continues to strengthen her expertise in finance, accounting, corporate governance, and strategic business management, positioning herself to contribute effectively to organizational growth and sound financial stewardship.
