Mayowa Akiode is the People and Culture Lead at Policy Innovation Centre (PIC), where she drives the organisation’s people strategy to build a high-performing, values-driven, and inclusive workplace culture. She leads the design and implementation of people systems and practices that strengthen organisational effectiveness, enhance employee wellbeing, and align talent management with PIC’s mission and values. 

She brings close to a decade of experience building and leading people functions, with expertise spanning HR operations across Nigeria and advisory support extending to Dubai, UAE. Her work has included shaping organisational culture, developing people policies and systems, driving talent development initiatives, and overseeing end-to-end employee lifecycle management within a growing organisation. Her experience cuts across the private, public, and development sectors. 

Mayowa holds an MBA from Rome Business School and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (ACIPM). She has held a Human Resource Practitioners’ Licence (HRPL) since 2019 and earned a GenderPro Certificate from George Washington University. Her academic background and professional experience position her to contribute strategically to human capital development, organisational growth, and inclusive workplace transformation.
